COCORE Colorado billboards, "GOD IS AN IMAGINARY FRIEND."

The Boulder Atheists, a member of the Colorado Coalition Of Reason, (COCORE), www.cocore.org, will have three billboards installed in Colorado on Monday, 1/23/12.

The goal of the billboards is to encourage an open dialog between COCORE groups and the public on the role of religion in America. We support the separation of church and state.

The CBS Outdoor signs (graphic in the right sidebar) will be located at:

1) Denver, 8031 E. Colfax, north facing, billboard #1606.
2) Denver, 424 S. Federal Blvd., west facing, billboard #1993.
3) Colorado Springs, I-25 near Elkton Springs Rd., 2.6k feet north of Garden of the Gods ramps, north facing, west side of freeway.

The sign reads:

GOD IS AN IMAGINARY FRIEND.

CHOOSE REALITY, IT WILL BE BETTER FOR ALL OF US.

THE COLORADO COALITION OF REASON.

History:

In 2008, COCORE had 11 "Don't Believe In God? You Are Not Alone." billboards installed in Colorado. In addition, they sponsored a rally for "NO on 48", the person-hood amendment.

In 2009, COCORE set up a plaque at Larimer County Sheriff Alderdeen's Politically Incorrect Christmas Party. The sign read:

During this Winter Solstice Season,

Illuminate your mind with reason.

Let friends & warm your heart,

And celebrate that we all take part.

- The Colorado Coalition of Reason

In 2010, COCORE installed three Denver billboards that said,

STOP government support of religion.

MOVE this Denver nativity scene to a church.
